Programs & Classes
The Donna Miceli Dance Center’s curriculum includes a wide range of classes in dance, ballroom, theatre arts and fitness tailored for “Every Body” — Children, Teens & Adults. Each program is taught by our professional staff with thoughtful guidance to ensure that each student has a positive learning experience.
The First Steps… program is offered for children 2.5-6 years old as an introduction into exploring the joy of dance through song, dance, and movement. These young dancers come to class once a week and participate in our annual dance recital.
In our Stepping Up… program dancers further explore their love of dance through combinations of study in different genres. Length of class increases as dancers progress in age, ability, and interest. Dancers study 2-3 days per week and are involved in the recital and are invited to participate in other DMDC events.
The Steps Ahead… program or Dancer Preparation Program (DPP) inspires and challenges dancers who want to reach their full potential. Eager dancers are offered an array of intensive training and performing opportunities through DMDC’s in-house faculty and industry professionals. Through auditions, class evaluations, and the goals of the individual, a personal dance curriculum is carefully designed for each dancer. Emerging young artists study 3-5 days a week and are also invited to audition for our resident dance companies and participate in other enrichment opportunities. Dancers considering dance in college or at a professional level are encouraged to immerse themselves in this program.
Classes and workshops for Adults are offered throughout the year. From Ballet, to Ballroom, to Bellydance, these classes and workshops in dance and fitness are designed to capture and refuel your own joy of dancing. Something for EveryBody- beginners to experienced adults.
